I'm Donna, a creative makeup artist. I have years of experience in putting makeup on clients in salons and department stores. I have certificates in high-definition beauty and fashion makeup artistry, which I want to use in my freelance makeup artist career.

Beauty by Donna Stroupe

This past year, I have been building my career as a freelance makeup artist. I have earned a large client base from my reputation of being artistic and professional. I have delivered an assortment of looks for formal events such as weddings and corporate celebrations. Creative agencies and photographers have also worked with me as a makeup artist for their photo shoots.

2024

junior stylist

Tressande

I worked as a junior stylist at a premier beauty salon in Goulcrest under the creative direction of owner Francois Mercer. Much of my work involved creating custom looks for clients based on their specifications and enhancing their facial features. I also consulted with salon patrons on their skincare routines.

2023

beauty advisor

Matiere and Co.

After earning my associate degree and makeup artistry certifications, I worked as a beauty advisor at Blush and Bloom Cosmetics, a subsidiary of Matiere and Co. in Goulcrest. My work involved demonstrating to department store customers the proper use of cosmetics and beauty tools. I also identified each shopper's needs and recommended makeup based on their preferences.

2022

Marketing intern

Kind to Skin Co.

In Spring 2022, I completed an eight-week internship with the marketing team of an organic skincare brand. Through my on-the-job training, I worked with the public relations lead on brainstorming and developing omnichannel marketing campaigns. I also created the company's social media calendar for March 2022.
